Day eight. Clean, crisp and quietly festive.

White layers, a gold-edged sentiment, a run of holly, bows and pinecones along the top and a twist of twine to finish. This is the card you'll make twenty of, and you won't get bored once.

Day seven, and a lesson in white on white.

An ornament cover plate over soft gold, a bright bow, a few pinecones and one sentiment circle. Barely any colour and it still holds the whole card together. Sometimes the quietest one on the table is the one everybody picks up.

Sometimes all you need is black and white, and this card is proof!

Lisa has created something really striking with the Perfect Posies stamp set and the results are just breathtaking. Here's how she builds this gorgeous monochrome design:
🖤 Stamp the main Perfect Posies image twice onto white card using Cloud 9 Solid Black ink
🖤 Cut both stamped images using the coordinating outline die from the main die set
🖤 Cut an aperture to the centre of a white card background using the Nested Squashed Oval Fundamentals die set
🖤 Position the stamped images over the aperture, one to the bottom left, one to the top right, and trim flush with the card background for the most beautifully clean finish
🖤 Use those cut away pieces to add extra detail around the aperture edge - nothing wasted!
🖤 Add vellum to the reverse of the aperture for that gorgeous soft effect, then mount the whole background onto a black card blank
🖤 Add a More Fabulous Fonts sentiment raised on foam to the centre of the aperture
🖤 And finally, a scattering of sequins to frame the sentiment and catch the light

That combination of bold black stamping against crisp white with the soft vellum behind the aperture is just everything - dramatic, elegant and completely stunning!

Day six. All that texture from one embossing plate.

Look closely and you'll see poinsettias, holly, mistletoe, berries and tiny snowflakes all in the same panel, blended in green and gold and then softly coloured on top. It's a lot of detail for very little work, which is our favourite kind.
