England are in the semi-finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

But if football’s not for you, we are going ahead with our planned showing of the film The Friend on Wednesday evening, 15th July. Starring Naomi Watts and Bill Murray, this film has an 84% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Almost as appealing is the fact the June Sutherland Chapel is air-conditioned, essential in this weather.

This showing is part of the season of films this summer sponsored by The Great Dane in addition to our usual sponsors, Ian Hart Funeral Service and Cooper Adams

Bring your own refreshments – why not stop off at The Great Dane on your way to the venue?

Doors open at 7pm. Tickets will be available on the door, just £8. Film will start at 7.30pm.
