Wot no chips?
Not gonna lie, these seagulls started out as crows. The landscape was further inland and it was stormy and miserable. It got tweaked and fiddled with and then, because artists can be the wizard behind the curtain, it was magically transported to the coast and crows became gulls. Looking for chips in the waves. True. They told me.

Exhibition continues at Gallery27 Dunbar, with these paintings and more ( much more!) After a lovely preview evening Gallery27 are hosting "social evenings" on Fridays in June 6pm-8pm. Drinks, chat, arty mumblings, argybargy, philosophy, jokes, slapstick ( especially by the end! 🤩) Get out your twin set and pearls or your spiderman outfit and head along. 💃🕺

The woods on my way to the studio are so beautiful and full of birds. Gallus blackbirds who don't bother to fly off, just give you a beady stare. They could also be used in a horror movie though! Update in the winter about that! 😂

Jeeezo! It started with cobweb clearing. Homeless spiders.....ragin. Then I found paint. It seemed like a good idea. Days disappeared. The true clartyness became apparent 😭. There's more to do and to be fair, you can't make a silk purse from a pigs ear, but there's clean things. Paintings re-hung Jewellery all shiny and polished. Now to tackle the mess I made at the other side of the studio! 😱😂

Mary Doll, 92 years young, in front of a painting of 24 year old Mary on holiday in North Berwick. Swipe to see the handsome fellow who said " don't go". All set up for my exhibition at ....opening tonight at 6pm. Paintings beautifully framed by Colin and Sam and the last batch ever of frames by ( who is far too busy painting to be framing any more)
The exhibition is on until 3rd July. Open daily Mon-Sat 10am-4pm
