Ready to get a little more creative?
This September, we’re heading under the sea to paint this colourful octopus.

But there’s a twist…I’ll also be teaching you a brand new technique using a sponge to create some of the texture in the background.

Whether you’re a regular at Paint & Palette or this will be your first class, come along, get creative and see what you can create.

My heart is full💙
What an absolutely stunning group of people you were! We painted, we talked, we chased and captured the biggest hornet intruder I’ve ever seen… and then came the magic.

A little paint goes a long way.

This morning, Mum and I simply had to indulge in a little creativity. I put together the paints, canvases and brushes, and we headed to Paper Mill Lock.

The plan: sit there, observe the lock, and paint an impression of the scene on canvas, freehand.

No pressure.

This is exactly what I tell my students: trust the process.

Don’t worry too much about the outcome. Enjoy the process, experiment, make mistakes and see where the paint takes you.

Surprisingly enough, we both put down our brushes and declared the activity complete at the same time.

Two very different paintings. One lovely morning.

The room was full of chatter, laughter and paint covered palettes, with such a lovely mix of people all creating something uniquely their own. Watching each painting come to life is always my favourite part, and what a beautiful collection of artwork we ended up with.

Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a brilliant evening. I can't wait to do it all again.
