A first wee test of a new theme I'm thinking of in an old hardback book I'm recycling into a small sketchbook. Thought it would be good to try some wee ideas on different substrates. Can't wait for next semester to start! 🙂

DJCAD Art and Philosophy students take to Generator Projects for a special protest exhibition.

THIS IS WHAT YOU'LL LOSE will showcase work from current students, graduates and staff in protest of the planned cutting of the Art and Philosophy course and closure of the Philosophy department.

✨ Opening night: Wed 29 July, 6–9pm
📅 Exhibition runs: Thu 30 July – Wed 5 Aug, 12–5pm daily

I'm taking part in this exhibition at Generator Projects in support against the proposed cuts to the Philsophy programme with one of my 12 edition screen print "Tree Shadows".

I'll be going into year 3 after the summer and the philosophy part of my degree has really helped me to think about life and my art differently, would be such a shame if this was to end for the future students coming in!

Been working on this Metallica painting the last couple of days. This is acrylic and pen on torn paper (deliberate). Around 27x23 inches. Loved doing this and it's helped me to get back into my flow 🙂

I love how open and honest Tracey Emin is about her life and i just love the way she talks about art and how much it means so decided to draw her. This is graphite on a3 sketchpaper
