10 years ago today I exhibited my end of year work with (then Reid Kerr) at where I also won a printmaking award, a years membership at it was transfered to the but I was too intimated to go so ended up never stepping foot inside lol (if 10 years isn't too late to cash it in lmk tho!)

Time absolutely flies! A few years after this photo was taken I would have my second solo show in Paisley and the place would continue to be super special to me (also where i got most of my tattoos!). This year I'll have my 5th solo in August, at , in this photo I was amazed I'd made it through an HNC and beside myself to be accepted into ECA (not tagged bc they don't know how to act/treat their staff) and it never crossed my mind that I could have a whole career in the arts.

With all the degree shows this week, and the launch of the Scottish Working Class Database, I think even more it's important to remember yourself when you were just starting, what you would need from the arts, what would have made your time easier or more manageable or seem realistic at all.

Also if you feel like wearing a shirt as a dress with huge docs and a weird headband, you should look into that.

Like the back of my hand 💅

More paintings of home, intended for the new show at in August (an official poster will be coming soon!)

I really enjoyed painting this, I love thinking about home, there's probably not a day goes by that I don't think about home. I passed this bit probably every day until I moved out.

2nd to last pic is this place next to the painting of overtoun house above a v messy studio (and outing myself as a pineappleade lover, 2nd only to Limeade- it got a bad wrap from Still Game but that's such an obvious ploy to leave More pineappleade for themselves)

Bus Stop, Oil on Canvas

More painting from memory ✨️ it gives you the freedom to allow visuals in your mind to amalgamate together without questioning or trying to untangle them, and you get them off the dome and onto the canvas without policing any version of truth other than the one you remember

This piece is probably just a wip as I think I might redo it on a much bigger scale, trying to sort the palette without abandoning the core memory, trying to reorganise the piece without losing access to intuitive mark making etc

Shout out my lovely inlaws who got me new paint for my 30th 🎂 shout out the HYT who I don't think got up to too much, ans shout out to the Jimson Mad Squad who never really took off but tried really hard anyway 💕

We've been bumping bellies and we made a babyyy! The and have combined forces to make a Scottish Working Class Database (SWCD)

Similar to the DAD, the database is totally free to use and free to search, intended to be a big NATIONWIDE yellow pages for working class creatives in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I'd you're looking for working class artists, singers, writers, curators, illustrators, freelancers, etc etc in Scotland, this is the place for you ✨️

Big phat thank u to Hayley at the SWCN, we've been working on this behind the scenes for a good wee while, I love Hayley to pieces and am very excited to be in this next chapter of parenthood together 👶

What a fabbbb Friday (followed by a very fab Saturday tbf!)

I'm so so honoured to be featured in the 3rd volume of and celebrate it at .dundee with them last night!

Both and put so so much work into these issues, everything from the quality of the physical publication to the efforts they made to get the best out of everyone has been fantastic! Also shout out to
📷 for taking the pics of my work/me featured in the issue!

In the publication I'm interviewed by the fabbb Laurie and speak about my previous solo, being a working class artist, my subject matter and process, running the as well as some upcoming plans at and some very fun stuff coming up with the amazingggg (very exciting bc I am literally they're biggest fan fr)

Then off to the for their opening, had lots of fun pointing out what plants we also have at home (now shown but trust it was a good few of them) as well as having fun with and then lobbying other artists such as to also link the Michelin bum hole (not pictured as still awaiting proof!)

There is so so much going on in Dundee, I'm so proud of all my pals, proud of everyone making and painting and writing and helping each other out

Please catch a copy of if you can and support them and all the other artists mentioned (and anyone else tbh!)

Lots of cool stuff happening, very happy to be a part of it
