✨ Hidden or Visible Ashes — what does it mean? ✨
When ordering from my website, you’ll often be asked whether you’d like the ashes hidden or visible, and I get quite a few messages asking what the difference is, so I thought I’d explain. ❤️

🤍 Hidden ashes
This is exactly as it sounds. The ashes are carefully placed at the bottom of the piece, underneath the mica or opal colour you’ve chosen. The colour sits over the top, so the ashes themselves aren’t visible.
✨ Visible ashes
With visible ashes, I’ll try to pick out some of the lighter/white ashes where possible. In mica, I can then create a little pattern or design with them. With opals, the ashes are delicately sprinkled amongst the opals so you can see them within the piece.

Both options are beautiful — it simply comes down to whether you’d like the ashes to be a subtle hidden part of the jewellery, or something you can actually see. 🤍

I recently had the honour of creating this beautiful collection of memorial jewellery for a whole family after the heartbreaking loss of their much-loved mum. Each piece was made to help keep her close, carrying not only ashes but so much love, memory and meaning.
Her family told me how proud she was of her Irish roots, so for several of the pieces we incorporated beautiful Irish-inspired colours — rich greens, white and orange — creating something deeply personal and symbolic for them all ☘️

Sometimes I get so caught up in creating each piece that I forget to actually stop and share them… but after handing over this beautiful gold memorial ring yesterday, I just had to.
Reading this review honestly left me completely overwhelmed. Knowing that something I created brought so much comfort to this lovely lady’s mum means more to me than I can put into words. Memorial jewellery is never “just jewellery” to me — every single piece carries somebody’s memories, love and story, and it’s such a huge privilege to be trusted with that.
