I just wanted to jump on here quickly to share a few things

Firstly, I want to give a massive shout-out to Wendy from The Bark Park for making the King St handover so seamless and stress-free for me. There are some really amazing things happening over there, including doggy day care, private park hire and training lessons for your doggies, so please go and show them some love💛

Also, I’ve taken some time to myself to regroup and figure out what life looks like now that Neo’s has closed. Truthfully, I’m a little scared about what comes next and I’m not entirely sure where to start — but I’ve got to start somewhere.

So, I’ve created a new page, Back to Business with Hayley to document the next chapter of being an entrepreneur. I’m hoping it will hold me accountable instead of doing the easy thing and hiding away till I have everything perfect, which I will inevitably delay anyways😅

I know I want to stay local, build on the skills I loved developing through Neo’s and eventually use them to help other local businesses. Over the next few months, I’ll be learning, experimenting and hopefully working with some local businesses to build my portfolio.

So, whether you run a business yourself, are interested in what I learn along the way, or are simply a little nosey about where I end up next 😂, you’re very welcome to come along for the ride🫶🏼

I’ve also created Stewartry Business Social, a new Facebook group for business owners and self-employed people who fancy connecting with other like-minded people locally. I’m excited to plan regular meet ups in Castle Douglas✨

And lastly, before I round off this journey and log out of this page, thank you. Thank you to everyone who supported Neo’s and helped make my dream a reality. I’ll always be incredibly grateful for what we created.

After a very long and stressful month, I’ve finally come to the end of the Neo’s Neverland chapter of my life. 🩵

I feel it’s only right that I explain a little about why I’ve made the decision to close, as so many of you have been asking and wondering. You’ve all been part of this journey - from the community halls, to Heathhall, to King Street.

Although it absolutely breaks my heart to say this, due to a breakdown in a relationship, and after co-parenting Neo for the past year, circumstances completely outwith my control mean that Neo is no longer part of my life.

It’s been one of the hardest months of my life. I’ve done everything I possibly could, but unfortunately this is how things have worked out.

Without Neo, and with the impact everything has had on my mental health, I knew I couldn’t continue running Neo’s Neverland. Neo’s the reason this amazing business was built and continuing it without him just isn’t right for me.

One of the main reasons I’m sharing this is because I hope it saves me from having to answer the same heartbreaking questions over and over again. I kindly ask that you please respect my wishes and don’t ask for any more details. I hope you can understand just how devastating this has been, and continues to be.

Despite everything, I will always be grateful for this journey. Neo’s Neverland has brought so many wonderful people into my life, and I’ll forever be thankful for every single one of you who supported me along the way.

Thank you to everyone who ever booked the parks, shared a post, recommended us, left a review, or simply followed our journey. Thank you to every amazing dog who came to visit. Knowing how loved Neo’s Neverland was means more than you’ll ever know.

I’m incredibly sad that this chapter has come to such an abrupt and painful end, but I’m also so proud of what we built together.

For now, I’m going to take some time to heal, rebuild, and learn how to navigate life as it is now.

I will still be dog walking and pet sitting, so this won’t be the last you see of me. Looking after your dogs is something that’s incredibly special to me, and I love being able to spoil them with all the love I have.

I’ve made the incredibly tough decision to close my King Street location too. 💔

I’ll do a proper post once everything has been finalised and the legal side has been dealt with, but for now I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the love and support you’ve shown me over the last two years. It has meant more than you’ll ever know. ❤️

The unit is now available as a lease takeover, with the entire current setup included. It would be ideal for a dog park, groomers, doggy day care, training facility, or another dog-related business, with everything already in place to get started.

💔 I hate having to ask for help, but I really need it.

I’m in a really difficult situation. I have just 30 days to leave my Heathhall unit and either remove everything from it or pay for it to be removed. Unfortunately, I’m in no financial or physical position to do that.

At the last minute, I was told the equipment would no longer be taken over as originally planned, which has left me having to deal with the consequences.

So I’m reaching out to my amazing Facebook community. ❤️

As many of you know, King Street is currently closed due to a nesting gull family and their chick, which has had a big impact on bookings.

At the same time, I’ve made the difficult decision to close Heathhall due to ongoing health and personal challenges. Heathhall will remain open for now, but these next few weeks may be some of the last opportunities to visit before it closes.

I’ve reduced bookings by 10% for a limited time, so sessions now start from just £7.20.

If you’ve been thinking about booking, I’d love to see you and your dogs before Heathhall closes its doors. Every booking helps and is hugely appreciated during a difficult period.

🐾 Here’s handsome Flynn, who came for a visit recently. Flynn has been around pretty much since day one and has been a huge support to Neo’s Neverland over the years, regularly visiting and sharing our posts. Support like that means more than people realise, and I’m incredibly grateful. ❤️

💙 A Little Update 💙

After a lot of thought, I’ve made the difficult decision to begin the process of closing our Heathhall location.

Over the past few months I’ve been facing some challenges with both my health and personal life, and I’ve had to be honest with myself about what I can realistically manage. It hasn’t been an easy decision, but I know it’s the right one for me.

🏡 Heathhall Opportunity

Heathhall is still open and operating as normal while a new tenant is found, so please continue booking as usual.

If anyone is interested in taking over the unit and existing setup, please get in touch. Any tenancy would be subject to landlord approval, but I’d be happy to pass details on and answer any questions. Even if it’s not for you, I’d really appreciate you sharing this post with anyone who may be interested.

🕊️ King Street Update

Unfortunately, King Street is currently closed due to a family of nesting seagulls and their chicks taking up residence. As you can imagine, this has had a knock-on effect on bookings across Neo’s Neverland.

To help keep Heathhall busy while we navigate these changes, I’ll be offering discounted Heathhall bookings for a limited time.

Monday thoughts with Hayley ☕️
The most stressed I’ve ever been was about 3–4 months into Neo’s.
From the outside, it probably looked like things were just ticking along. But behind the scenes? I had SO much going on personally—stuff no one even knew about.
I was juggling so many plates, running a business I had zero experience in, and the timing of everything was just terrible. It was a really difficult time.
But like everything… it passed. Now I look back and I don’t even recognise that version of me.
Looking back at yourself a year ago, what’s the biggest change you see? Can anyone relate?

Just a little update from me 🩵

After a very overwhelming few weeks, I’m taking a well needed holiday and some time to properly switch off for a bit.

The parks will remain OPEN as normal during this time, and I’ll still be contactable for anything booking related if needed.

Thank you all for the support recently — both for Neo’s Neverland and personally. It’s honestly meant more than you know. I’m looking forward to coming back refreshed, recharged, and full of new ideas 🐾
