🍂 Hello, Autumn…

1st September, and the first brown leaves are already starting to gather on the ground.

The mornings are getting a little cooler, the evenings a little shorter, and Scotland is beginning that slow change into golds, reds and browns.

There’s something rather lovely about this time of year — crisp mornings, autumn walks, cosy evenings and that unmistakable feeling that the seasons are turning.

So here’s to the first day of meteorological autumn. 🍁

Although knowing Scotland, we’ve probably still got at least three more summers and a winter before the end of the week. 🤣

We’ve brought along a huge selection of our Scottish wall art, football favourites, keepsakes and gifts — including some of our newest pieces making their Glasgow debut.

🎵 Welcome to One Man & His Words 🎵

For many of you, you’ll know me through Eiledon, where Norma and I have spent the last few years creating Scottish artwork and meeting so many wonderful people.

But there has always been another creative side of me.

For some time I’ve been writing songs. Some are about love, some about family, some about Scotland, and some about the moments that quietly change our lives forever.

Those songs have now become One Man & His Words.

This page is where I’ll share the music, the stories behind the songs, the inspiration for the lyrics and the journey as it unfolds.

If even one song makes you smile, brings back a memory, or helps you through a difficult day, then they’ve done exactly what they were written to do.

A little more personal than our usual posts…

Many of you know us through Eiledon and our Scottish artwork, but before anything else, I’ve always believed in telling stories. Sometimes those stories become art, and sometimes they become songs.

Tomorrow sees the release of my new single, The Hardest Miles, under my music project One Man & His Words.

This is probably the most personal song I’ve written. It’s about facing life’s hardest journeys, carrying on when the road feels impossibly long, and finding the strength to keep putting one foot in front of the other. I suspect many people will recognise a part of their own story in it.

If you’d like to have a listen, it would mean a great deal to me. Every stream, share and kind word genuinely helps an independent artist.
