Folkestone Harbour, painted on wooden board.
Another local harbour painting, inspired by the quiet beauty left behind as the tide retreats and the boats resting on the sand, surrounded by the shifting reflections of light on the water.
I’ve been drawn to painting boats more and more lately, and I’m beginning to build a small collection of these familiar coastal scenes. I can already imagine them displayed together as one body of work.
Finding time for my own practice has been a challenge lately, but I’m determined to keep making space for it.
I’m on day 81 of my 100 day painting challenge 🎨
