The papercut lampshade class which Gilly Bridle taught last weekend made the creativity of the attendees glow!
These are stunning and will be a wonderful memory of a super weekend. Many thanks to Gilly for teaching, giving the Friday evening talk and for the fabulous Dornoch inspired lampshade for the raffle. Thank you! We had a great time over the weekend, lots of lovely conversations, fabulous tutors, wonderful traders and inspiration at every turn. A big thank you to Gilly Bridle for coming all the way from Shetland to give the Friday Talk, teach and for designing a beautiful lamp shade for the raffle. Thank you to John Wright Studio for taking some pictures, this is one of them and sums up the pleasure of Dornoch Fibre Fest perfectly 😊

Tonight we have a talk in the Dornoch Free Church by Gilly Bridle, 'Travelling with Design'. Freshly returned from Svalbard, Gilly will be talking about her life as a designer and the places which inspire her. The talk starts at 7.30pm, £5.00 to enter.

Dornoch has a number of independent shops and it is great that many of them work with Dornoch Fibre Fest, Tartan Creations is a small business with products which are tartan and tweed based. Yvonne has crafters packs of tweed and tartan suitable for patchwork and other sewing products on sale. Pop into her shop between 10am and 4.00pm on Saturday and Sunday. Perfect for joining in with our Patchwork Tweed Cushion Class on Sunday, where there are still some spaces available.
