The Arts Society Diss is a welcoming and friendly organisation that meets at the Corn Hall Diss at 2 pm on the third Tuesday of the month. We run a monthly programme of talks about arts in its widest sense: sculpture, paintings, pottery, furniture, and more.

We also run special interest days, focusing on a particular topic or artist in more depth. Trips, both local and further afield, are organised once or twice a year. There is an active community arts programme, which works primarily with young people.

Our next talk is on Tuesday 19 March, at 2 pm at the Corn Hall. Paul Bahn will be talking about what really happened on Easter Island.

Easter Island, Rapa Nui, is the most isolated permanently inhabited place on the planet, yet it produced an extraordinary Stone Age culture, with more than a thousand enormous stone statues, the richest rock art in the Pacific, and a unique writing system.
