I cannot begin to tell you how cool this venue is. I often call it the biggest little venue in Derby. You’re up close and personal to the artists and it’s something really special. The line up for InventionDerby in the house is really good and worth the money alone. I’ll second Mr Shaw’s (aka Karl 😂) opinion that Pablo Carrizo Music really is very good and he’s on during the afternoon so get in there and don’t miss him! Really looking forward to Saturday. See you all there x

🎧 INDIE DJ WANTED 🎧

I’m working on a new indie night/project in Derby and I’m looking for an Indie DJ to get involved.

The music will cover the lot — from the classics right through to modern-day indie.

🎸 Alternative & guitar bands
🎸 2010s bangers
🎸 New indie & current releases

I’m looking for someone who knows their indie and most importantly knows how to put together a proper night of music.

GANS are playing The Hairy Dog on 15/10 with support from Cowboy Hunters. Here’s a review of their set at Victorious Festival compliments of Louderthanwar 😎 Have a read and see just what you’re in for when they land in DERBY! 👇🏻

“GANS delivered the set of the weekend. Under The Trees briefly became the Haribo Overdrive Stage as they tore through an ultimately indescribable and thoroughly irrepressible genre-rich set. They were agents of beautiful chaos, blending elements of punk, electronica, with a layer of flute or sax. A circle pit, a crowdsurfing drummer and a mosh pit during a flute solo were just some of the features of thirty whirlwind minutes (you can only imagine what Jethro Tull fans could have got up to if they’d thought of it first). They were genuinely arresting, partly in a raised heartbeat manner, but also in the sense that when they told us to get our hands up, there was no real option to say no. As they played I think I Like You, we knew we liked them. Or maybe it had turned into some kind of musical Stockholm Syndrome by then.”
