Chip Off The Old Morris Dancing Team Ladies' Cotswold Morris team from Derby, dancing with sticks, hankies & heart! New members always welcome! 🌼

Catch us at festivals, pubs & village greens — keeping tradition alive with a smile. Chip Off The Old is a vibrant and friendly ladies' Morris dancing side with mixed gender musicians based in Derby, proudly upholding the tradition since 1977. Our team performs traditional Cotswold Morris dances, showcasing lively routines with sticks and hankies from the villages of Adderbury, Brackley, Ducklingt

on, Fieldtown, Lichfield, and Ilmington. Throughout the year, we bring the joy of Morris dancing to a variety of events, including pub nights, festivals, well dressings, village celebrations, school performances, and days of dance alongside other Morris teams. Each performance is accompanied by our talented live band, playing uplifting tunes on traditional folk music instruments. If you've ever been curious about Morris dancing or are looking for a new hobby, come along and give it a try – we'd love to have you on board as a dancer or musician!

We're really looking forward to dancing in Derby this Saturday 6th June for Osnabruck 50th Birthday Twinning Event. 🍰There'll be lots of things to see and do around Market Place, Osnabruck Square and Cathedral Green. 🕺🍕

You can expect to find us performing at Osnabruck Square at 12.00pm, then making our way to the Market Hall at 12.45pm, and finally ending the day with a display at Cathedral Green at 2pm.

This Saturday 16th May we'll be out dancing at Etwall Well Dressings in Derbyshire. You'll find us by the George V Recreation ground at 2pm & 3pm then on The Green at 4.10pm.
