Our second Unsung Hero as part of is Julie Ayres of Delph Youth and Training Band! 🪊

We had to join forces with the mighty Delph Youth and Training Band for their march down and we think it turned out to be pretty special for these amazing youngsters 💜

Another Whit Friday done and dusted!

A beautiful morning marching through our village with Delph Youth and Training Band and our lovely community 🎼💜🎺🥁☀️

In the evening we managed 5 contests: Grotton, Lees, Greenfield, Delph and Denshaw. So once again we didn’t manage to get round 6 contests to be properly ranked. The villages were definitely buzzing and it was lovely to see so many familiar faces out and about 👏

Like most local bands we found this year to be particularly frustrating with long waits at every contest. It seems that WF has become a victim of its own success 🤷‍♀️ and it is especially upsetting when local bands don’t get to play in their villages.

Thank you to all the organisers and volunteers - it’s not an easy job to keep on top of things with that number of bands and visitors.
