Happy Birthday Joseph Rose... We never imagined we'd be honouring this birthday without you with us.

We will be turning our next Pondfield community day into a celebration of Joseph - a day for our community to celebrate his life, honour his legacy, weave deeper community connection in his memory and raise vital funds to support his beautiful family in this time.

Joseph has been an instrumental part of The Living Projects team for the last 8 years. He became co-director in 2023 and has organised community events, held sweat lodge ceremonies, supported the steering group and staff team, and long held the vision of all that Pondfield could grow to be. We feel his absence painfully and palpably and at the same time, we feel him close, still guiding this project, his spirit felt everywhere on the land.

His life and his memory will continue to guide all we do at Pondfield, in creating a space for people to gather, heal and connect as we regenerate this precious land. We hope this community event will be a space for us to gather in celebration, grief, love & community to honour Joseph's life & an opportunity to fundraise as much as we can to support his dear family in this time.

We will be accepting cash & card donations on the day and for food and drink purchases. You can also add a donation when you sign up.

We will share more details about the shape of the day as it emerges. But you can expect wood-fired pizzas, sauna, a kids play area, musical offerings and of course a held space to share about Joseph.

If you would like to offer your support on the day or in the lead up, if you would like to contribute an offering to this day, would like to bake a cake or bring drinks etc, that would be very warmly welcomed, please get in touch.

We expect quite a few people to be joining us, please do walk or cycle if you can. If not, please do car share as we will have limited parking spaces available!

Sign up essential via this link: https://dandelion.events/e/r6n5r

We are so grateful for your love and care in this time and look forward to being with you on the land very soon.

With love,

The Living Projects Team

Thank you so much to the wonderful Denise Rowe and the fantastic drummers who brought 'Earth Dances' to Pondfield Sundays just over a week ago.

It was a profound experience to use the language of movement to connect with and honour the land. We could feel Pondfield loving it!

We hope to have Denise back lots more in times to come.

This Sunday we will be welcoming Heidi Rose for 'The Way Of Council'

We hope to see you there!

What an honour to host Susie Ro for our Pondfield Sundays session of ‘Heartsong’. Susie brings pure magic in her heartful, passionate and welcoming facilitation and the ease in which she guides a group into harmony. For an hour the roundhouse at Pondfield resonated with songs of the land, perhaps the beginning of a pondfield choir? ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Thank you Susie Ro Prater for sharing your magic with us 🙏🏽💚⁣⁣
⁣⁣
For our next ‘Pondfield Sundays’, Denise Rowe will be guiding us on a dancing journey - ‘Earth Dances’ ⁣⁣on the 9th July. Booking link below 🌎

‘Where Do Poems Come From’ was as rich as it was inspiring. Local poet, Daverick Leggett, took us on a journey into his relationship with the land, the grief of these times, and a good measure of Eros too! Daverick’s poems spoke directly to our hearts and senses, transporting us to wild Dartmoor and through the years, to our distant descendents. To hear him read a selection of his poetry, and some of the stories behind the poems, was a truly special treat.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Daverick shared some of his creative processes, of connecting to the land and quieting the mind with us, and invited us to follow our feet to see if we would find some lines of poetry hiding in our reflection of the world around us. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
A poem that came from this invitation:⁣⁣
⁣⁣
‘This land …⁣⁣
once a pasture, farmed, now⁣⁣
forms a magnet for dreams,⁣⁣
dreamed by the indigenous ones⁣⁣
who have slept for generations, ⁣⁣
deep down in ⁣⁣
the depths of dirt ⁣⁣
now pushing up to the light to⁣⁣
bring fresh harvest to a lopsided ⁣⁣
humanity with it’s hunger for wholeness’ ~ ⁣⁣
Robert Moore⁣⁣
⁣⁣
For our next ‘Pondfield Sunday’s, 25 June, we will be joined by the wonderful Susie Ro for Heart Song 💚⁣
