First week done on this deck! Been a hot one šŸ„µ but managed to get loads done still. Few more days next week and it will be finished

Day 1s progress: old frame was quite a bodge of different sized timbers, loads of rot along the front and ends of the joists. Structural supports rotten and no longer supporting so 100% needed replacing.

This latest project was a real pleasure to do as the clients were my parents! Due to their changing circumstances the bath was no longer appropriate so a shower was a must! They decided to overhaul the entire bathroom so it was fully plastered, new flooring and half height tiling and a new suite to complete the new look.

This project was completed exempt of VAT on all labour and materials due to my dad's disability. It's a fantastic scheme for people with disabilities or long term illnesses as these changes were things which needed to be done to improve their everyday living and safety and they could save the 20% VAT. So if you have any friends or family members with disabilities or long term illnesses who need adaptations made to their homes then reach out and I'd be happy to provide some more information and discuss the options with them.

We go to work to primarily earn an income. But if you're not getting anything else from the work then it really becomes so difficult to keep doing it to a high standard every day. Receiving feedback and especially feedback like this makes the hard day's much easier and turns going to work into something that you're looking forward to instead of dreading. I really appreciate when people take the time to show their appreciation for what you've done. It costs nothing to do and the impact goes a long way!
