A little behind the scenes of breathing life into Salt’s new moon. 🌙

The final stage was adding those last details once she was up on the wall — working into the texture, adding depth and finishing the lunar surface by hand.

At this point, Salt was still very much a work in progress. The walls were yet to be finished and the lighting around the moon still had to go in, so seeing the studio completely transformed in time for the Founders Opening has been pretty special. ✨

And judging by all the photos already popping up, she seems to be settling into her new home rather nicely. 🌙

Paint, plants and a beautifully relaxed afternoon at Swarthmoor Hall 🌿🎨

Join Craft & Vibe on Sunday 26th July for a charming drop-in pot-painting experience, set within the beautiful surroundings of Swarthmoor Hall.

Arrive any time between 1pm and 5pm, choose your colour palette and spend a little time creating a hand-painted terracotta pot before selecting a houseplant to take home with you.

Your £20 experience includes:

• A terracotta pot and saucer
• All paints and materials
• Creative guidance and inspiration
• A houseplant of your choice
• Your finished piece to take home

There’s no need to book your painting session — simply drop in and settle in at your own pace.

When my friend asked whether I could make a two-metre moon for her new yoga studio, the obvious answer was yes. 🌙

Her partner had already built the plywood base and shaped it with expanding foam, so after wrapping it in chicken wire, it was time to roll it into my living room, balance it on the coffee table and start applying the first coat.
It may look more like a giant cement dome than a moon at the moment, but the craters, lunar texture and paint are still to come.

Also taking this as my latest sign that I really do need my own studio, because my living room was not designed for two-metre moons and buckets of cement.

I can’t wait to see it finished and installed in its new home.

🪴 Craft & Vibe Pop-Up at Brizzolari’s 🪴

This Sunday, Craft & Vibe is bringing a little creative magic to Brizzolari’s with a Mother’s Day Paint-a-Pot Workshop for our little crafters 🎨🌱

Children can paint their own terracotta pot and choose a plant to pop inside — creating a handmade gift for their mums, nannies, and other wonderful women in their lives 💐

It’s the perfect little moment for parents and children to slow down, get creative together, and make something special.

✨ Drop-in workshop: 11am–1pm
✨ £10 per child – includes terracotta pot, plant & all painting materials
✨ Parents stay with children to enjoy the activity together

We were super busy last time, so we recommend arriving early if you can!

Plastic aprons will be provided, but our paints are long-lasting, so please send little ones in old clothes or bring an old T-shirt/pinafore to protect their outfits.

While you’re there, you can also enjoy delicious treats from Brizzolari’s and browse the beautiful crochet florals by a wee bit frayed — perfect Mother’s Day gifts.

Coffee & Clay — the finished pieces 🤎🌊

Little pieces of Morocco, shaped by hand.

After an evening gathered around the table, hands in clay, these are what we carried home. Incense holders, trinket dishes and small creations made slowly and thoughtfully.

There’s something special about holding something you’ve made yourself, especially when it carries the memory of where you were and who you shared it with.

So proud of these beautiful souls and the pieces they brought to life. So grateful to have shared this workshop as part of such a heart-filled retreat. ✨

Coffee & Clay in Morocco 🤎🌊

After a long, sun-filled day at the retreat, it felt so grounding to gather around the table with you all, hands in clay, hearts full and bodies pleasantly tired.

There’s something quietly magical about creating by hand after a day of yoga, movement, and mindful moments. Stories were shared, laughter flowed, and the darkness outside made the little workshop feel even cosier.

I’m so grateful to have been part of this experience at Craft & Vibe, and to have had the chance to host one of my workshops as part of the retreat. Sharing the simple, wholesome joy of crafting with clay felt so special, turning it into keepsakes to take home and memories we’ll carry with us forever. ✨
