A date for your diaries. On 24th October at 7.30pm Nitten Folk Club is proud to present its annual Charity Concert at the Dean Tavern. This year we're raising funds for the Newtongrange Children's Gala Day, a very worthwhile local cause.

Our very talented club members will be forming groups and duos to entertain what is usually a sell-out audience. Tickets are £10 and available now (cash only) from Committee Members and performers. Advance purchase is highly recommended.

We had a fabulous night at Nitten with Barbara Dymock and Chris Marra, wonderful trad songs expertly sung and played. We had excellent floor spots too (photos in the comments).

Third time lucky! Tomorrow night 16th July we welcome back the wonderful Barbara Dymock and Chris Marra. After 2 cancellations due to building work at The Dean we're delighted to finally be able to put on this concert. Doors open at 8pm for an 8.30pm start, we'll have our usual floor spots and a raffle, and entry is only £5 for members and £8 for non-members. See you at The Dean!

We had an absolute blast on our annual Summer outing yesterday. The barge trip from Linlithgow was so much fun, good food, lots of laughter, great music and real camaraderie! And how we sang!

We're delighted to say that we're back to our usual slot this coming Thursday 25th June, a singaround in the Function Room at the Dean Tavern from 8.30pm - 11pm

It looks as though the building work at The Dean has been completed and we'll be back to our usual singaround session this coming Thursday 18th June.

It's a theme night and the theme is "A Working Life". The world of work has always been a rich source of wonderful songs and stories; think of miners, fishermen, farmers, weavers, carpenters, the list is almost endless. If you have a favourite song, poem or story then come along and share it with us.

With our sincere apologies we regret that, due to circumstances completely outwith our control, we are having to cancel tonight's concert. We return next week, 18th June with our usual singaround with the theme of "A Working Life".
