Trusting the process can be tough! 🎨
I’m currently right in the middle of "the ugly stage" with my latest floral painting. This is the exact moment where a piece looks a bit messy, the shapes aren't fully defined, and it takes a bit of faith to keep pushing forward.
Swipe through the checklist to see exactly where I'm at—the initial color block-in is done, and now I'm using key strokes to refine the petals before the real detail work begins.

Patience is part of the process... ⏳🎨
My latest Mandarin duck original is officially finished and currently curing in the studio. Next up: a beautiful satin varnish to lock in those vibrant teals, oranges, and deep purples, then it's off to its permanent home on Etsy.
I really focused on creating depth with the layering on this one—especially on that sweeping sail feather. What do you think of the high-contrast look?

The fine details on this swan took hours, but now comes the hardest part… waiting 2 weeks for the acrylics to cure before I can varnish! 🦢✨ Every single stroke is deliberate, set against that flat matte background. What do you think of the texture?
