.yv is someone I’ve always held in high regard, & she’ll probably be reading this with her signature smile. I’ve admired her elegance, poise, mindset, femininity & quiet strength from day one. We first crossed paths back in 2022 at our student accommodation, Calcott Ten. I introduced myself as Segun the photographer, but she knew later that I’m Peter as well, & because her surname is Peters, she decided to call me Peter going forward. She knows I really don’t like to be called Peter but she kept it going for months just to wind me up. 😅
That same day we first met, she told me, “Since you’re a photographer, you’ll shoot my graduation.” I said yes without hesitation, although life in the UK had a completely different script for both of us at the time. A lot has happened between then and now. the turbulence, tears, growth, moments of uncertainty, the grit & fortitude.
but you know, time is smarter than everyone. Today, I got to do exactly what she spoke into existence. I had the utmost privilege of documenting a milestone that means more to her than most people will ever know, & because I understand the significance of this moment, I made sure every frame I capture reflected that significance.
this wasn’t just a graduation shoot per usual. It was a full-circle moment, & I am grateful & proud to be a part of her story.
BSc Psychology bagged all the way, in grand style, & professionally documented by the best photographer in the world!
