Our lodge is holding its annual Table Quiz in Cullybackey Orange Hall on Friday night, can we ask everyone to support the event. It's sure to be a great night's craic..

Tonight we had the pleasure of welcoming our Ballymena District LOL 8 Worshipful District Master Bro Matthew Armstrong and Deputy District Master Bro Colin Smyth to conduct our installation of officers for the year.

Pictured are both our newly installed and reinstalled officers and committee, with Bro Phil McIlvenna & Denver Davidson stepping into their new roles as Worshipful Master and Deputy Master respectively.

All members of the lodge would also like to thank our immediate Past Master Bro Richard Mcintosh for all his work leading LOL 696 over the past number of years.

As you may have noticed, there are some ongoing renovation works taking place at our hall, as we improve our facilities and celebrate 125 years since the hall was officially opened, we have a few events coming up to mark this anniversary.

Looking forward to the year ahead and hope to see plenty out supporting the St Patrick's parade and service in Ballymena this Saturday afternoon as we kick off the local marching season.

What a fantastic weekend it was for our lodge, Friday night saw our hall well filled by lodge members, family & friends, members of the local community, brethren from our own Ballymena District LOL 8 and various districts from across the county.
We were blown away by the support shown to us at our first table quiz, not only in attendance but also the sponsorship from those who were unable to attend, again many thanks for your generosity.
A great night's fun was had and The Quizards Of Oz came out on top yet again!
Many thanks also go our quizmaster, Bro Maurice Anderson who had the heads scratching and cogs turning all night!
We aim to return the support to those who supported us, and thanks again to our members who regularly attend others events.

Our lodge are saddened to hear of the passing of Matthew Gracey, he was a member of our band while it was on the road.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time, and in the days and weeks ahead.

As we near the end of another successful parade season, we are actively recruiting in all aspects of the band to strengthen the ranks and respond to the great support we already experience from the local community.

So if you are thinking of joining a band, maybe you are a past bandsperson and want to get back into the scene, or possibly you are just curious about being in a band, come along to our open night on Tuesday 23rd September 2025 at 7.30pm in Cullybackey Orange Hall.

You can meet the team, have a go, or simply come along to experience a band practice with the customary tea and buns to help things along! ☕️🍩.

We are grateful for the use of the hall kindly granted by Cullybackey LOL 696 and the unwavering support of Glenhugh LOL 344 which has spanned over 100 years 🤝
