Alan has been a tram fan all his life and can remember travelling on trams in London, Sheffield and Glasgow as well as many other systems. πŸšƒ
The must have accessory at the time was the IAN ALLEN ABC spotters book in which enthusiasts would mark off the cars they have seen or mark those the had travelled on.

Alan was fortunate enough to see LCC1 run in London back in the day, but sadly couldn't fully mark it off as he never got to ride on it.

Fortunately though, his lovely family brought him to Crich today for his 89th birthday and as he still has his copy of ABC, he's finally got to mark LCC1 off after riding it this morning. πŸ₯³πŸ™Œ

While on site he's also managed to mark off 1622 and ticked 331 off as seen in the depot. βœ…

Quite an exciting way to spend your 89th birthday, and we were so pleased to be a part of it πŸŽπŸŽ‰

As always, this is subject to the usual serviceability and operational requirements.
