Low Energy, Chronic Illness hobbies 🎨
I’ve been living with chronic illness for the past 7 years and these are a few of my go-to hobbies ☺️
1. Cozy Gaming - cozy gaming has always been a go-to of mine. It’s super slow paced and easy to just play without using too much physical or mental energy. Bonus points as you can play it in bed and it is a great escape 🕹️
2. Reading - Reading has always been something I have loved but dealing with neurological symptoms it quickly became very difficult for me to do and enjoy.. But I have found graphic novels were great to get me back into reading without the mental strain 📚
3. Card Games - These really got me through some difficult times! Picking an easy card game that you can play on the sofa or in bed is just great for being able to feel involved and social even on those days when anything else is too much. There are lots of single player games as well to pass the time 🃏
4. Physical Media - I LOVE physical media as it passes the time so effortlessly. Collecting vinyls/cd’s is part of the hobby two! Listening to an album cover to cover has brought a lot of joy to those difficult days 💿
5. Crochet - Now crochet has been responsible for a lot in my life and has opened so many doors for me! So I just had to include it.. a basic crochet project that you can just mindlessly follow and create can be so rewarding 🧶
