The following quote resonates deeply when considering the unique perspectives of individuals with autism on our Autistc Artistic Awakenings art program.

Autism often brings with it a distinct way of perceiving the world, one that may differ from the neurotypical experience. Just as Degas suggests that art is about conveying a vision to others, individuals with autism have the capacity to share their unique insights and interpretations of the world through various forms of expression.

Their perspectives, whether communicated through visual arts, writing, music, or other creative mediums, challenge conventional viewpoints and broaden our understanding of the human experience.
