We’ve just about recovered from our Pendle Hill Sing-along! 🎶⛰️
What an evening! There was something so special about bringing our community together to sing on top of our local landmark. It definitely felt like a once-in-a-lifetime occasion.
We have a few thank yous…
To Gaynor Sutcliffe, our fabulous Choir Director, who came up with the crazy idea and put it to the choir through one of her now-infamous polls on the choir group chat (IYKYK!). None of this would have been possible without you and our unofficial choir directors Sam, Hazel & Merlin. ❤️
To our choir members who joined us on the hill, for your determination and perseverance up those Pendle steps. Turning “I can’t do this” on the way up into “I did it!” at the top, and then singing your hearts out. You were brilliant! ❤️
And to our choir members who couldn’t join us on the hill but supported us from home and from all corners of the world, this definitely hasn’t gone unnoticed. ❤️
To every family member, friend, walker we met en-route and four-legged friend who joined us at the summit. Seeing the crowd grow as we arrived was pretty amazing, suddenly, what started as a choir singing on Pendle Hill had turned into something much bigger. ❤️
And finally, to the The Pendle Inn, Barley Village for hosting us afterwards, where of course we sang a few more songs with a well-deserved drink in hand! 🍻🎶
