An evening of mini-talks and short soap-box shout-outs bringing together people who want to champion and celebrate diversity in the arts and in our communities, share the work they do with others, and collectively celebrate strong diverse voices. All welcome.

Calling local poets,
Clacton Arts Centre team
have been asked by TDC to put on an event in the town Square on Saturday 4th July.
They’ve asked if I know of someone prepared to write bespoke poems for people.
Just wondering if any of you might like to do that at this event ?
I’ve seen this done with a typewriter so the person gets the typed piece, but hand written or even just pinged to their phone might suffice!
I would imagine if you have your own books you could sell them but don’t take my word on that!

Next Boho Banter is less than a week away!
This Tuesday coming 26th May!
Our headline is one of our much loved regulars, Brenda Wells
Brenda is a community poet, based in the Stour Valley. After spending many years in education, she made a natural transition to creative writing. Her focus is often the natural landscape, the passage of time, and personal reflection.
Published Works include:
Seasons of Poetry (2022):
and
Time Tumbled Words (2024)
Her work is inspired by early Imagist poets and writers who "write the landscape," such as Robert Frost, Emily Dickinson, and Laurie Lee.
Brenda is an active figure in the Essex poetry scene. She runs Poetry Plus a monthly poetry group in Manningtree,
Attends a number of local writers' groups and has been involved this year in Art Up, an Essex University initiative.
