[The Design Thinking Behind Re:Born — Chapter 3]
I imagined the ink itself as the Ambrosia—the divine reward at the end of Psyche’s grueling trials. I envisioned it as a personalized gift from the gods, a liquid immortality tailored to the one who earned it.
—The Essence of Resilience—
To capture Psyche’s journey, the visual narrative on the glass is a celebration of her evolution. I integrated butterflies throughout the composition, not just as a decorative element, but as a visceral motif of rebirth and femininity. It represents the soul’s ability to transform and ascend after enduring the weight of mortal struggle.
—The Intersection of Love—
At the heart of the design lies a delicate tension between the soft and the sharp. Flowers, acting as metaphors for Psyche herself, bloom in abundance, yet they encircle a central arrow. This arrow is the anchor of the piece—a nod to Cupid and the romance that fueled her resilience. It serves as a reminder that her divinity was not just granted, but forged through the complexity of their connection.
—The Kinetic Illusion—
The bottle is designed to be felt as much as it is seen. I chose to illustrate the four sides, when you hold it and rotate the box, it creates a spinning illusion, making it feel less like a static object and more like an actual artefact containing a shimmering, mythic essence.
This is the nectar of the soul: a blend of hard-won resilience and the softness of a love that transcends the heavens.

Moving away from “bite-sized” work has allowed me to treat every element—down to the vessel itself—as a chapter in a larger myth. I hope this immersive approach to the “Ambrosia” brings you closer to the story.
