Big news for Chiswick’s Young Musicians!

We are thrilled to officially announce the launch of the Chiswick Brass Festival Youth Band, kicking off this September!

This is the perfect opportunity for young brass players to come together, improve their playing, build confidence and make like minded friends along the way!

A month ago, the sound of brass filled the air in Chiswick.

The festival brought together an incredible mix of musicians with a huge variety and range of styles. There was something special about the energy. A special thanks to and to the incredible young musicians who performed at the festival.

I’ve just shared 13 photos from the day, each one capturing a little piece of that atmosphere — the passion and the joy that live music brings.

If you were there, you’ll know exactly what I mean. And if you weren’t… hopefully these give you a taste of it.

The Chiswick Brass Festival Chorus and SymphonicBrass present a spectacular evening of Coronation anthems, including I was Glad and Zadok the Priest.

Featuring music by Anton Bruckner - a towering figure in symphonic brass writing - alongside the Festival Chorus, percussion and organ in a programme that is sure to shake the very foundations of this magnificent church.

Don’t miss the recently discovered masterpiece by Florence Price - Octet for Brass and Piano, discovered almost 60 years after her death.

And of course our headline work John Rutter’s magnificent Gloria for Brass, organ, percussion and chorus.

We can’t wait to hear who are taking part in a side by side scheme with the festival!

A fully interactive experience for the next generation of music lovers!

Celebrity Narrator: Samantha Spiro (Netflix’s S*x Education and HBO’s Game of Thrones) narrates the story.

Musical Discovery: Meet the Bird, the cat and the Wolf in this award-winning brass arrangement by Berkeley Brass.

Hands on fun: After the show, kids will have a chance to try the instruments for themselves!
