"Searingly powerful, thought-provoking production that explores the complexities of restorative justice in the aftermath of a violent crime. A tight, spartan production, the acting was intense and brilliant: you absolutely felt what it would be like to be in that situation. Must see!"
"Powerful, moving, gripping drama with thought-provoking content and great performances from all five cast members. A must-see at this year's Fringe."
"amazing production. Fast-moving storyline with extremely credible, strong characters and an excellent script. All of the acting was powerful and the team performance together kept our interest throughout. Brilliant performances from all"

โCould you ever forgive the young stranger who killed your son? The first step is the hardest.โ
The Long Road is a play that hits hard, right from the start: a young man murdered by a stranger in an unprovoked attack, his family falling apart in their struggle to deal with it. We meet them at a critical point: the mother starts to wonder whether she should meet the young girl who killed her son, thereby setting in motion a series of events that will lead either to disaster or maybe even to... forgiveness?
Written by acclaimed playwright Shelagh Stephenson, The Long Road was developed with The Forgiveness Project, an organisation that attempts to help perpetrators and victims of crime find their way through the turmoil.
โThis is an important play that will leave no one unaffected: I cried just reading it. It appears at first glance a grim subject but thereโs hope, redemption and even humour.โ
