I got a message last week I still haven’t stopped thinking about.
A friend messaged me after my stories from the SoLo Craft Fair market, asking how I deal with people not stopping at my stand. I gave her my usual answer: get used to it, the right people find you and a market is not just to sell things.
Then she told me she doesn’t even have a product yet 😱She was scared of a day that hasn’t happened, at a market she hasn’t booked. And it stopped me because I realised I still do that too sometimes.
I often make up scenarios in my head of things that could happen before I even start. And then once I do them, most of the time, they end up being so much easier and less scary than I thought they would be!
And you know what? Tackling things that used to scare me makes me feel so much more confident.
And yes, a quiet period is always a bit scary. But it doesn’t define you or your business. Sometimes it’s an opportunity to savour the silence, tidy things up, open up to others or celebrating what you have built already! 💜
