We welcome singers of any age, experienced or not, men particularly, who enjoy music; perhaps those who sang a while ago and would like to try again. Now in our 47th year, we still have two founder members singing. Our aim is to present public recitals and concerts for the enjoyment of local residents to the best standard achievable for an amateur, non-auditioning choir. We want members to experience the pleasure of singing with others, to develop their singing and to make friends. Our repertoire ranges from folk songs to classical, modern composers to musicals and religious music, usually in 3-4-part harmony with duets, solo and small group singing; so something for everyone! There are many other opportunities; reading music, singing lessons, socials and excursions, workshops plus a post-rehearsal refresher in the local and a coffee group. Everyone is welcome irrespective of background and we have a fund to subsidise anyone who may need this to help.
