Aqua Tofana, for those of you who don’t know, is a slow acting & undetectable poison that was created in the 1600’s by Giulia Tofana. In an era when divorce was impossible, it was sold to women trapped in abusive marriages as a quiet escape that mimicked natural illness. It was cleverly disguised in cosmetic bottles and sold by a network of women around Italy, allegedly there are over 600 deaths attributed to this poison.
