Pond Rescape Time.
Before and After, and during!
I was asked by Parkside Primary School to redo their pond, the liner was in a very bad shape and was leaking badly, it was also massively overgrown not only in the pond but also outside.
We had to start by taking everything out and ultimately throwing most everything away, that alone took two days with the heat not making it easy.
Once that was done the liner was removed and the shell repaired and tidied up, not forgetting the sleepers around the top taken off.
It was then time for the new underlay and liner to be put in, the easy bit!
The sleepers were put back and the new waterfall constructed along with a wood design in the middle.
Gravel and fresh plants were added and also new plants, a bench and a bird feeder added to the outside to freshen it up.
A few small things need to be added in time but not much.
This took about a month to go, a day or two a week, being the best way to do it.
Hopefully the children will like it and come next year will be able to go pond dipping and see all of the various wildlife it attracts.
Many, many thanks to Thom was was a major help in all of this and had to endure the rather hot days that made things a lot slower and more difficult than normal.
