Does your son or grandson love to sing? Chester Cathedral has vacancies for 4 boy choristers to start in September 2026.

Choristership at Chester Cathedral is an incredible opportunity for a free musical education that lasts a lifetime. Our choristers learn great music, enjoy trips across the country, and develop their creativity and independence with friends from other schools.

Typically, boys join the choir aged 6-8 but we are happy to hear from potential choristers of other ages. Please note, we do not have any vacancies for girl choristers at the moment.

🎶 Join us for an evening of music! 🎶

We’re delighted that our next concert will be part of the Music by the Bridge concert series at St Mary Without the Walls, Chester.

We’ve got a brilliant varied concert to sing and will be accompanied by Musical Director at St Mary’s - Michael Reynolds.

Looking forward to starting at The Wyldewoods on Monday at 10am! Come along and have a good sing for an hour in a fun and friendly group session in a lovely setting. There’s plenty of parking and a great coffee bar for a chat afterwards! First two sessions free.

🎶 Only a couple of weeks to go now until the new sessions start at The Wyldewoods on Monday 13th April at 10am.

🎵 For the first session we’ll be singing some songs by ABBA, Elvis and some something from My Fair lady. If you know anyone who would like to come along, do let me know so I’ve got a rough of idea of numbers!
