A look back to Thursday's Chelsea Arts Festival, with a celebration at the Women's Prize after party at The Sloane Club

Following an unforgettable evening with Bernardine Evaristo & Friends, guests continued the celebration with drinks, conversation and a toast to extraordinary women's writing.

Autumn is well and truly here, so here’s a look back to Sunday at Chelsea Arts Festival, and Building Your Autumn Wardrobe at Veronica Beard’s Sloane Square store.

Hosted by Nicole Smallwood, Fashion Director at Country & Town House, guests explored the latest Veronica Beard collection before a styling session on building a modern autumn wardrobe, from standout pieces to layering essentials. They then stepped into the Trailblazer Atelier to create a one-of-a-kind, personalised blazer, with refreshments from Wild Idol, a naturally alcohol-free sparkling w**e.

A look back Chelsea Arts Festival’s Thursday afternoon with Walls with Stories: The Art & Psychology of Wallpaper at Cole & Son (Wallpapers) Ltd’ flagship showroom.

Hosted by , the conversation brought together Chase Hafer (Cole & Son’s Head of Design), Karen Haller FRSA (behavioural design and colour psychology expert) and interior designer Sean Symington, exploring how the walls around us shape atmosphere, emotion and memory, from the psychology of colour and pattern to the enduring heritage of the Cole & Son archive.

A thoughtful, inspiring afternoon for anyone who believes a home should feel truly personal. Huge thanks to Cole & Son (Wallpapers) Ltd for hosting such an inspiring event.

A look back at the stages that brought Chelsea Arts Festival to life, dressed by Peter Jones

From the grand, historic Cadogan Hall to the sleek, contemporary Saatchi Gallery, Peter Jones created two entirely different worlds using the same festival colour palette - rich velvets and deep woods for Cadogan's regal, traditional feel, and lighter, Scandinavian-inspired tones for Saatchi's fresh, modern energy.

Home design stylist Anna Stevens told Country & Town House how it all came together - from the inspiration behind the sets to simple ways to bring the same ideas home. Read the full interview below:

Chelsea Arts Festival’s official charity partner, Create , was at the heart of this year’s festival, from Nicky Goulder MBE opening the Saatchi Gallery programme on Friday 18 September with a powerful reflection on the importance of creativity, to Create’s own performances lighting up Sloane Square and King’s Road on Saturday.

Create is the UK’s leading charity empowering lives, reducing isolation and enhancing wellbeing through the creative arts. In 2025/26 alone, they worked with 575 young carers, every single one said they enjoyed their project and gained something positive from it. For many, it’s the first time they’ve been able to pursue a passion they simply don’t have the time or resources for.

Chelsea Arts Festival marked Friday afternoon with Art Into Fashion: Canvas to Catwalk at Saatchi Gallery, in partnership with the British Fashion Council | Fashion Britain, timed
# with the start of London Fashion Week.

Host ROSALYN WIKELEY🌹 led a panel of leading voices, including EMILY CARTER and Nicole Zisman, exploring how art is shaping the way fashion is made, presented and understood, from a canvas translated into fabric, to the shared sensibility that moves from gallery wall to runway.

A look back to last Friday: The Art of Travel: Chapters of Discovery at the Sloane Club, and what a conversation it was. ✈️ Brought to you by Scott Dunn | Luxury Travel.

Journalists and authors Monisha Rajesh 🇵🇸 and Afua Hirsch, alongside Jules Perowne, CEO of Perowne International, joined Country & Town House Travel Editor-at-large Francisca Kellett for an exclusive afternoon on the art of travel, with women in travel and the rise of solo travelling among the big topics on the table.

The conversation went deep, covering history, culture, slow travel, AI, representation and overtourism, and how it all ties into storytelling to create truly meaningful travel experiences.

A rich, honest and inspiring afternoon for anyone who believes travel should be felt, not just seen.

Chelsea Arts Festival continued Saturday afternoon with Katherine Rundell: The Neverfear at Cadogan Hall, welcoming the award-winning author back to Chelsea for a magical family event.
rundell took the audience on a journey back to the Glimouria Archipelago, sharing the world behind her bestselling novels with the wit, warmth and wonder she’s loved for. Families filled the hall, with children and adults alike hanging on every word.

A joyful afternoon of storytelling for the whole family, and a reminder of just how much magic a great book can hold.

Chelsea Arts Festival continued Saturday morning with Rambert: This is Rambert at Cadogan Hall, marking a century of one of Britain's most iconic dance companies.

Rambert brought three bite-size, high-impact works from its centenary programme to Chelsea - Hop(e)storm by (LA)HORDE, fusing Lindy Hop with rave culture; Gallery of Consequence by Emma Evelein, turning an airport into a metaphor for the choices that define us; and In Crimson, a new UK collaboration from director-choreographers Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber.

The company's dancers filled the stage with awe-inspiring, adventurous movement, giving the audience a first look at the works marking 100 years since Rambert's first performance in 1926.

A powerful morning of dance, and a fitting celebration of a century of British movement.

Saturday Highlights at Chelsea Arts Festival 🎨✨

What a day! From Johno Verity and Jonnie Fielding uncovering London's hidden histories, to The London Theatre Review recording live, Rambert's centenary dance programme, Gavin Turk on the art of rubbish, BookBar spotlighting the year's best new books, and NYJO closing the night with big band jazz - Chelsea Arts Festival brought together an eclectic mix of voices and ideas across both venues.

Talks and conversation ran all day at Saatchi Gallery and Cadogan Hall, alongside performances, music and entertainment across Chelsea.

The festival continues today, don't miss what's still to come!
