I thought I would give a little update on how I’m getting on.
I’m doing much better than I thought I would tbh, I am up out and about spending time with family and friends.

Thank you all so much for your lovely messages. They really meant a lot to me and I will answer back every single person that has written on the post. Those of you that have sent me DMS. I have responded back. I’m not ignoring anyone. It’s just these past few weeks Instagram has not really been my priority.

I’m not in great pain anymore. It’s more a case of the 2 places where I have been cut. They are very sore but I’m bearing with the pain and I’m no longer taking any pain medication which I’m incredibly proud of (I’m a soldier. 💪🏽) lol

My left side of my face is still completely numb, but theDrs made sure I was fully aware and prepared for this as well as the loss of hearing although I am pleased to say it seems to be slowly coming back🎉 which is great news.

The downside is car sickness when I’m driving, which is so bizarre to me as I absolutely love driving as you know I drive all over. I’m one of those rare people who actually enjoys driving😖.Hopefully this also will sort itself out.

The daily and physical exhaustion is real I feel incredibly drained hence why I’m extending my rest and recuperation time.

As I don’t feel I could physically and safely lift my sailboards any time soon.
I want to make sure I’m in the best possible health to give my customers and clients the best displays that I love to create.

My diary is open from July 18th I already have bookings in July 🫣I’m looking forward to getting back to work and creating displays as I love it so much I’ve been sketching constantly lol.

I will start posting again from next week as I’ve got some great content that I’d love to share with you all my algorithm is probably in pieces right now!

A surgery, a setback, and a lot of gratitude♥️🫶🏽

Sometimes life forces you to slow down. You may have notice unusually for me. I’ve been quiet on social media recently.😔

This past week I’ve undergone surgery to remove a benign tumour from my face. Although the tumour wasn’t cancerous, the operation came with risks, and one of those risks was losing hearing in one ear. As when is sensation and feeling on the left side of my face.

Unfortunately, that is the position I find myself in right now.

I’m hopeful that this will be temporary, but at the moment I’m navigating recovery, pain, exhaustion and the uncertainty that comes with not knowing if this is temporary or permanent only time will tell.
There was some scary moments when my blood pressure was so high and my oxygen levels was so low😔 I also developed a painful blood clot in my hand. From where they had to put the cannula in.

As someone who is always creating, building, working and showing up for others, being told to rest and my body needing to rest, has been one of the harder parts of this journey. But right now, healing has to be my priority.

What has carried me through these past few weeks leading up to the surgery, and my recovery period.
Has been the incredible love and support from my family and friends. The messages, phone calls, visits, prayers and check ins have meant more than I can put into words. I truly couldn’t have done this without you.

To everyone who has supported me, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’ll be forever grateful. I am in good spirits and feeling positive for what lies ahead.

I Don’t Know About You But…… Me as a balloon Artist,
Popping my balloon displays, that I can spend hours creating including the planning and prep kind of feels like 🧐

Happiness, relief and sadness all rolled into one.
I’m happy because the event is finished and it t went well, my balloon displays looked beautiful
Relief because it means the event is finished and unless I have another booking, I get to go home and rest.
Sadness because wow all that hard work now being popped and cleared away.

Although I do love it when my clients ask to keep the Balloons I love when that happens and I love that for them.

So just remember, if I do create a balloon display for you, I’m more than happy in fact I encourage you to take the balloons home and maybe repurpose them, at home for a home celebration to keep the party going or give them to someone else.
