What you DON’T see behind the scenes of a balloon install…

From designing and cutting the vinyl ✂️ to be a cohesive match for the brand to personalising every detail.
Prepping for days and hours in advance.

Which including painting the wooden number 50 a pretty pink to match the balloon display for the 50th anniversary,
for this corporate booking.

Blowing up what feels like a million balloons 🎈 again for the second time in the month of August 🤭 (KIDCHELLA) taking over my front room, with balloons as always using my favourite brand Balonevi.

Backdrops and equipment, double checking and triple checking everything on my list to be packed and somehow squeezing it all into the car boot… as I do.

This is the part you don’t always see when you’re looking at the finished display 💖

A little BTS of what creating a balloon display for Benefit Cosmetics UK 50th Anniversary party, looks like. I was also incredibly proud that I was given creative freedom and they trusted my imagination and creativity to build something completely unique for their celebration..

From my balloon room to the front room to loading up and getting ready for install day.

Because every beautiful balloon display starts long before I arrive at the venue.

I MEAN WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG???????🤯😖😩🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ RIGHT!

🌧️ This was NOT how I imagined starting such an important corporate booking…

I woke up to the sound of rain that morning and thought, surely it’ll stop by the time I get there.

It didn’t. 😅

When I arrived at The Courtyard in Chelmsford which I might add is my all-time favourite venue .

for Benefit Cosmetics UK 50th Anniversary party, I discovered the venue roof had accidentally been left open overnight… and everything outside was absolutely soaked.

The area where I was due to build was drenched, I was completely soaked through, and the staff member on site didn’t know how to close the roof.

After getting hold of the manager, they talked her through how to close it but, that wasn’t the end of it.

I then found myself setting up a sequin wall in the dark because the lights couldn’t be switched on. 🙈 until the manager arrived. As the lovely member of staff (who made me lots of lovely cups of tea to keep me warm ) didn’t know how to turn them on. Thank goodness, I do most of my prep at home.

You see!fail to prepare, prepare to fail not me no way Josè lol.

At this point, I could have panicked… but there was a job to do.

So I got stuck in, adapted the setup, worked with what I had and kept going because I knew just how important this corporate event was.

And honestly? Looking back at my photos, you’d never know what was happening behind the scenes.

Sometimes the finished display is only half the story.

This one definitely tested me, but I’m proud of how I handled it.

Celebrating KIDCHELLA in all its colourful glory! 🎈

One seriously fun 11th birthday balloon display, packed with colour, texture, statement backdrops and all the little details that brought the whole KIDCHELLA theme to life.

From huge 24inch balloons and a variety of different sizes and colours.
To the custom signage, and personalised painted sailboards, with lots of different details and tropical touches this was definitely one to remember. 💕🩵💜

Created for an unforgettable children’s birthday celebration in Essex, because why should the adults have all the fun when it comes to luxury event styling? 😉

🫣 I have NEVER been so wrong about something in my entire life 🤣🤣🤣

The amount of work that goes into preparing for an event is unreal!
The amount of time it takes to plan and deliver one event is can be tremendous.
Working late into the night sometimes working weeks, days, before an event behind the scenes.
Your entire house taken over by Balloons🤣🤣🤣

So no becoming a balloon artist is not easy work and he’s not for the faint hearted. Let me bloody tell you.!
