Tonight we hosted “Dance Fit After Dark”, brilliantly run and organised by Hannah & Cicely of Dancefitbycw_

Over 40 fabulous ladies turned up and showed us what they are made of. If we may, it made us proud. This is exactly why we created our venue, to give people the space and opportunity to be themselves without prejudice or judgement.

Hi, I’m Scott 👋

I’m the man behind Larry’s Mobile Bar (LMB) and District KCL.

The idea for Larry’s first came about in early 2020. What started as an idea for a mobile bar has grown into something I probably couldn’t have fully imagined back then.

Over the years, Larry’s has taken us to some incredible places. We’ve worked music festivals and Christmas markets, had the opportunity to work at Charlton Athletic FC, and had the absolute privilege of being part of so many couples’ wedding days. 🥂

Then, in 2024, we had a very proud moment when we were named Hospitality Champion at the Kent & Medway Food & Drink Awards. 🏆

Which means, yes… those really are award-winning cocktails! 🍸

But for me, there was always another part of the dream.

For several years, we’d been searching for the right venue — somewhere Larry’s could call home and somewhere we could create events and experiences of our own.

Then last summer, we found it.

This gorgeous venue that is now District KCL.

We put a huge amount of work into making it our own and finally opened the doors in November. Seeing the space filled with people celebrating, laughing and enjoying themselves makes all that hard work worthwhile.

Today, the two businesses fit together perfectly:

🍸 Larry’s Mobile Bar — award-winning cocktails and hospitality brought to you.

📍 District KCL — our home, and a place where we get to welcome you to us.

From an idea in 2020, through festivals, Christmas markets, football, weddings and an award we’re incredibly proud of, to finally opening a venue of our own — it’s been quite a journey.

And I feel like we’re only getting started.

I’m going to be sharing more of that journey — the events, the people, the stories, the behind-the-scenes moments and what it really takes to keep building Larry’s and District KCL.

To everyone who has booked us, worked with us, trusted us with their wedding day, visited District KCL or supported us along the way — thank you.

Weekly Life Skills Club for ages 9–14/15

( age group can be discussed if suitable for young person that is slightly younger/older)

At Inclusion in motion we are so excited to be launching Life in Motion, a fun, practical and supportive weekly group designed to help young people build the skills and confidence they need for everyday life. 💚

The group is neurodivergent friendly, with an inclusive approach that recognises that every young person learns, communicates and participates differently.

🗓 Every Monday
⏰ 12:30pm–2:30pm
📅 Starting Monday 21st September

District KCL has always been about doing things a little differently — bold, colourful lighting, loads of atmosphere, plenty of personality and a whole lot of heart. 💜❤️🩵

And our LOVE KCL? ❤️

It’s more than lighting.
It’s more than branding.
There’s a very personal reason those letters mean so much to me. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who continues to support us, celebrate with us and enjoy our little venue. Seeing it full of people having an amazing time is exactly what it was created for. ❤️

☀️ A little update from District KCL - Private Hire Venue

We think everyone can agree on one thing — it’s been HOT! 🥵😂

The prolonged warm weather has certainly presented some challenges for us, particularly when the venue is full and everyone is enjoying themselves on the dance floor.

Unfortunately, we can’t control the British weather (we’ve tried 😂), but as a small independent business, we can listen, learn and keep improving.

We already use multiple fans throughout the venue, and this week we’ve invested in new thermal curtains for our large waterfront windows, designed to help reduce the impact of the afternoon sun and keep more of the heat out. We’re also looking at additional permanent fans to improve airflow throughout the venue.

We don’t currently have air conditioning, so we won’t pretend that we do. What we can promise is that we genuinely care about our guests and will continue doing everything realistically possible to make District KCL as comfortable as we can.

Despite the heat, we’ve had some absolutely fantastic parties, busy dance floors and plenty of happy faces — and seeing people enjoying our little venue is exactly why we do this. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who continues to support a small independent business. We’re always listening, learning and investing where we can.

Now if somebody could turn the temperature down outside, that would be lovely… 😂☀️🍂
