All participants have been emailed a selection of short scripts to look over before the workshop.

A reminder that the masterclass will take place this Saturday from 12 noon to 2 p.m.

A little Sunday inspiration before the new term begins! 🎭📚

Very apt to find myself in Holywood today for a New Era Academy networking event for local drama teachers! 🎬New Era Academy

A big thank you to the New Era Academy team for travelling over from London to meet with me and other teachers from across the area. It was a really informative afternoon and always lovely to chat, share ideas and get ready for another busy year of Speech & Drama….and I met some really wonderful drama teachers today too!

On my way back to the car, I spotted a little second hand bookshop and, of course, couldn’t resist having a browse! A few new finds may just be making their way into our classes this term… 📖

And just a little reminder that Mourne Stars classes don’t begin until Monday 14th September, so we still have one more week to get everything ready before welcoming everyone back!

Can’t wait to get started ⭐️

Speech & Drama: A Springboard to Confidence! 🌟

Speech & Drama can be a fantastic way to build confidence in communication and help learners feel more comfortable presenting themselves—whether at school, in everyday life or in the workplace.

Our examinations are progressive, allowing learners to develop their skills as they move through the grades. From memorising and performing poetry and prose to acting, sight reading and discussion with the examiner, there are plenty of opportunities to build confidence, communication and performance skills.

We are absolutely delighted to welcome Northern Irish actor Abigail Parkinson for an exciting acting masterclass on Saturday 12th September!

Abigail will share her industry experience and practical advice on auditioning, script work and self-taping. A fantastic opportunity for young performers to learn from someone actively working in television, film and theatre!
