Smashed opening night!
This is feedback from the Op's manager of Carriageworks, who as you can imagine sees a lot of shows over the year, at the theatre.

Hope you have settled after your first show?

I just wanted to pass you some feedback from the show as I came to see the show with my daughter last night, and I never usually get involved in feedback, as I leave that to programming , and the audience. I felt that I needed to send you something though , as the show last night , the cast, the voices, the set were absolutely amazing! I have been to see a few shows here with my daughter, and apart from Panto, Hairspray is one of the best shows I have seen this year. The hard work your cast and crew have put into this show, comes out in the performance. Apart from a few mic issues(that I’m sure will be rectified tonight) the performance was flawless.

I would personally like to congratulate you and your crew and cast for putting on such a fantastic show here at the Carriageworks, I know you have 3 more shows to go, but if they are all as good as last night, then the early congratulations are well deserved.'
