🎆 How Much Does a Professional Fireworks Display Cost? 🎆

This is one of the questions we get asked most often, and the answer is:

It depends on the display, the venue and the location.

When you book a professional fireworks display, you are paying for much more than the fireworks themselves.

The overall cost can include:

• 🎆 The fireworks used in the display
• 📄 Fireworks display licence and associated paperwork
• 🚐 Travel to and from the venue
• 👷 Staff time for planning, setup, firing and clear-up
• 🛡️ Specialist insurance
• 💻 Electronic firing systems and other display equipment
• 📋 Site assessments, safety documentation and display planning
• 🤝 Liaison with the venue, organiser and other relevant parties

We do offer a range of fireworks display packages, which makes it easier to give customers an idea of the type of display available at different price points.

However, it is important to understand that a package does not necessarily mean exactly the same fireworks are used at every venue.

Every display site is different.

The available safety distances, firing area, fallout area, surrounding buildings, roads, trees and other site features can all influence which fireworks are suitable.

For example, one venue may have enough space for larger effects, while another may require us to use a different combination of fireworks to create a similar level of impact within the space available.

Travel distance can also affect the final price.

That means two customers booking the same package could have slightly different display designs depending on their venue.

Our aim is always the same:

To get the maximum visual impact from your budget while designing a display that is appropriate for the site.

So when comparing fireworks display prices, remember that you are not simply buying a certain number of minutes of fireworks.

You are paying for the planning, licensing, specialist equipment, insurance, experience and work required to deliver the entire display from start to finish.

🎆 A Big Update From Pyrotechnics NI! 🎆

It’s been a busy few months behind the scenes, with plenty of training, studying and investment going into the business — and I’m delighted to finally share a few updates!

📚 Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser Qualified
Back in June, I sat three exams for my Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA) qualification. After an 8-week wait, the letter finally arrived confirming that I had successfully passed all three exams — along with the certificate to make it official!

🚐 ADR EX/II Approved Vehicle
Our van has also successfully passed its ADR EX/II inspection. This means we now have an approved vehicle specifically equipped for the transport of Class 1 explosives, allowing us to import our own fireworks from England.

Being able to manage more of our own transport and supply chain will help us reduce costs where possible and, importantly, pass those savings on to our customers.

🎇 British Pyrotechnists Association Firers Course
I also recently travelled to England to attend the British Pyrotechnists Association (BPA) Firers Course.

The BPA is the trade body representing the majority of professional firework display companies across the UK, and I’m pleased to say I successfully completed the course and passed the examination.

All of this represents another big step forward for Pyrotechnics NI as we continue investing in professional training, qualifications, equipment and infrastructure.

Our aim is simple — to keep improving what we do, operate to a professional standard, and deliver even better value and spectacular displays for our customers across Northern Ireland.
