Great day Sunday at the last of this year’s at Wokingham.
Everyone gave their absolute best and I’ve said before whilst it is lovely watching you perform and I was proud of you all 👏⭐️👏⭐️ it is even better witnessing how you all support each other!!!!

Special mention to Caitlin and Kasia coming up!
Unfortunately when Caitlin was dancing on Wednesday she - through no fault of her own - sustained a bad injury to her knee. In an awful lot of pain she managed to perform 3 solos and a duet (Drama, Open and Song) whilst sitting with her leg in a brace!!! How brave was that!!!👏⭐️

Then Kasia - who due to an injury was not able to perform in the Prelims - really stepped up. Now recovered, she learnt three group routines taking Caitlin’s place on Sunday. There was no way anybody would have known. Huge professionalism Kasia, so well done in 3 days!!👏⭐️

Have a wonderful Easter 🐣 break!!!

An amazing weekend at our second Semi-Final at Kingston!
Everyone did so well and were so supportive of each other!
As I’ve said before it’s a great achievement to get to the semis so a huge well done to all!!!
Hopefully it was an enjoyable experience , and I feel such a good one for building confidence and performing to a live audience. Getting a Merit certificate is absolutely super but taking part is just as important!!!

A huge thank you too to all of the lovely mums who gave so willingly of their time to help and all of my lovely teachers for making everything run smoothly!!

It was lovely too to welcome back some of my Senior girls, who having left us in September to further their studies returned to join the other Seniors in performing!!!💜💜💜
As they say ..”Once a DHSS girl....always a DHSS girl”

As we reach the end of March, we sum up a very busy month for us. Huge shout out to all of our dancers who took part in our first Semi-Finals at Farnham. It doesn’t matter if you didn’t get a Merit Certificate...what matters is that you did your best and I was proud of you all!!!

It seems a long time ago now but back on the 1st Jan DHSS was proud to take part in the New Year’s Day Parade through London. We learned choreography, recorded an accompanying song and took part in great event!!! (See previous pictures!)
Some of our cohort met the and received medals for their participation!

Thankyou so much for attending our presentation celebration our NATD examination successes!!!
We had a super time and were delighted to have Claire Martin, the renowned jazz singer as our guest of honour. Claire started at DHSS performing in many productions of “Twinkling Stars” and it was an absolute pleasure to welcome her back as one of our famous alumni....Claire...a huge thankyou!!!!!
And a huge well done too to all of you for working so hard and achieving such amazing examination results!!!
Miss Ann would have been so proud!!!

Few things to report!
Ella and Ruby had great day representing us at the NATD Autumn Meeting where Miss Alexandra took a class....unfortunately we didn’t take any pictures but all went well!!!
Yesterday Erin and Ruby took part in the Arts Association Autumn Meeting also enjoying some fabulous classes and flying the flag for DHSS!!!
Delighted to let you know that as a result of our show at Easter £200 has been donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital and £1,400 to the research group working at University College Hospital looking specifically into new treatments for young people affected by multiple sclerosis....well done to you all for your support making the shows a success....proud of everyone!!!👏🌟👏🌟👏🌟
This Saturday....the 8th November sees the first of the Preliminary rounds of this year’s Arts Awards.....so...
