We’re all looking forward to Saturday’s concert.

We had a fantastic turnout for the joint rehearsal for the Omnium Ensemble concerts tomorrow night for Roseland Music Society and Saturday night Carrick Concerts where the director Olivia Earl inspired Truro Male Choir and others rehearsing Judith Weir Alleluia and Harris. Looks like

Here’s something a bit different for you if you love singing! The Omnium Ensemble is taking over our practice on Thursday for an open workshop - that’s open to anybody who would like to come. And we will then all join them in a couple of numbers at a concert at Tremayne Hall in Mylor Bridge, on Saturday evening.
All singers welcome.
Will you join us?
The ensemble is a group of young professional singers. Should be interesting and fun.

Next weekend is a big one if you are a fan of male choral singing - in its many forms.
It’s the 12th Cornwall International Music Festival, with events across the weekend and right across Cornwall featuring choirs from across the UK and from overseas.
We will be involved in helping to organise the events at Truro Cathedral from Friday to Sunday - but we are also delighted to be singing on the Saturday afternoon.
We hope to see you there, although there are plenty of events and concerts elsewhere if you don’t live in the city.

We wished our former Assistant Musical Director John Harris all the best and a fond farewell at last week’s rehearsal.
John has stepped down from his role as he is moving away to be with his family.
John has been with the choir or its predecessors for an incredible 59 years!
Our President, Geoff Aver, presented him with a selection of photographs documenting his time with the choir(s) spanning the six decades.
John - we wish you all the very best. We’re sure you will soon be singing with another choir once you get settled in your new home!

We are very proud of our second tenor, Charlie Roberts, who has a leading role in this, the final Shakespeare Nation performance of Romeo and Juliet at the Hall for Cornwall.
A group of us are going along to watch him in action. And when it’s all over we look forward to having you back at rehearsals 🙂
Break a leg Charlie!
Here is a cast photo with Charlie in the middle at the back.
