My first drawing of a horse!! I can’t tell you how long I’ve been wanting to draw one, and what a beautiful boy to start off with.

This portrait was created as a special gift for his owner, who shared 15 wonderful years with him. Rockie recently passed away, so this piece was an emotional one for his whole family.

Drawing him taught me so much, and I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful subject for my very first horse portrait. I hope this artwork serves as a lasting reminder of a much loved boy who will always hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew him 🤎✨
