Today I’m working on prompts 26–29 of the collaboration hosted by ✂️📓 — and today I’m combining four prompts into one crafty session!
My favourite technique is covering a page without completely hiding what’s underneath, so I’ve used that idea to create three simple additions to my journal: a hinged journaling card, a scrappy pocket and a vellum/tracing paper overlay.
Along the way I’ve used lots of scraps, created some little clusters and added something old, including an original French document and a beautiful postcard from 1917.
And, as is often the case when I’m crafting, things didn’t always go according to plan! There were wonky pieces, glue strings, cutting mistakes and a few changes of mind. But that’s part of the fun — it doesn’t have to be perfect to be worth making.
I’m really enjoying this collaboration and the lovely creative community around it. There are only two prompts left now, so I’m getting very close to the end!
The new video is now on my YouTube channel, Hilltop View Journals. I hope you’ll come and craft along with me - https://youtu.be/CmmayuXf2oo
