For me, this will always feel like Japan’s last great statement, even if the cover says otherwise

Three decades later, it still sounds like it arrived from somewhere outside of time. Every spin reminds me why David Sylvian remains one of my favorite artists—few musicians have followed their own creative compass so fearlessly, from Japan through Rain Tree Crow and beyond. “Blackwater,” “Every Colour You Are,” and the album’s vast, dreamlike textures never lose their power.

Tell me your favourite ever Japan or Rain Tree Crow Song ever?

John Lennon’s Menlove Ave….a posthumous 1986 release named after the Liverpool street where Lennon grew up.

The cover art was created by Andy Warhol, giving it that bold pop-art look that instantly stands out in any vinyl collection.

What makes this album special is that it’s made up of unfinished sessions and alternate takes from Lennon’s Rock ’n’ Roll and Walls and Bridges era and almost like a behind the scenes glimpse into his creative process. The title “Menlove Avenue” references 251 Menlove Avenue, the childhood home of his Aunt Mimi, where Lennon spent much of his youth.

“Vintage Lennon, raw and unfinished, which somehow makes it even more personal.”

Strawberry Fields
Penny Lane

According to George Martin in his words “the biggest mistake of my professional life”
That the two songs where aloud to be Singles and not on the album.

Abacab By Genesis

Remember the day I bought this 18th September 1981, from WH Smith’s don’t think they are around anymore.

Jam packed with lots of my favourite Genesis songs ever, and between I Can’t Dance and this they are my favourite Genesis albums fronted by Phil Collins.
Have you got a favourite Genesis album from Phil’s period as lead singer?

“Finally got my hands on The Great Parrot-Ox and the Golden Egg of Empathy by The Claypool Lennon Delirium

A massive wow, this thing is an experience. Psychedelic, progressive, weird, brilliant… exactly the kind of musical rabbit hole I love getting lost in.

Huge appreciation for Sean Lennon and his fearless creativity. The way he blends experimental sounds, melody, storytelling, and emotion is completely unique. Whether it’s with Les Claypool or his solo work, Sean always brings imagination and soul into everything he touches.

This album dives into themes of AI, empathy, mortality, and humanity through an absolutely wild concept-story format — and the artwork/package is incredible too. Definitely one for headphones and full immersion.

The album is the third studio release from the duo and expands their surreal psychedelic universe with a 14 song concept narrative.
Go out and get this it’s absolutely amazing.

Spinning one of George Michael’s most underrated collaborations tonight.

“This Is Not Real Love” with Mutya Buena was released in 2006 and became a quiet classic for fans who love George’s more emotional, soulful side. The chemistry between their voices feels effortless and smooth, vulnerable, and heartbreakingly honest.

Mutya thought the invitation to record with George Michael was a prank at first. She later said working with him was one of the highlights of her career.

Even without a huge video campaign, the song still became a UK Top 15 hit and remains a hidden gem in George’s catalogue.

Vinyl. Dim lights. George Michael playing loud. Perfect combination.
