Sumo against jiu-jitsu. Karate against Muay Thai. Different styles, different fighters and almost no restrictions.
Then Royce Gracie, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner, won the very first UFC tournament despite being considerably smaller than some of his opponents.
