And that’s a wrap on our first Purple Pie group exhibition 💜
What started as a ‘let’s give it a go’ has grown into something far bigger than I ever expected.
Over the last 7weeks, we’ve welcomed more than 300 visitors through the doors. We’ve only been open for 7 Saturdays (plus our opening night) and we’ve sold 13 original artworks, introduced new people to collecting art, and helped connect artists with new audiences.
For me, the best part has been watching artists see their work on gallery walls, meeting visitors who genuinely connect with what they’re creating, and placing those little red dots beside sold pieces (the cherry on top of the pie) 🤭
I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who visited, supported the artists, shared our posts, bought artwork, or simply stopped by for a chat. Every bit of support has helped make this first exhibition a success.
This exhibition brought together artists from across South Wales, many exhibiting for the first time, and seeing the friendships, confidence and opportunities grow from that has been exactly what Purple Pie Gallery was created for 💜
We’re carefully taking down the Spring Show, wrapping sold artwork ready for its forever home, and finalising the shortlist for our Summer exhibition.
Let’s do it all over again!! 🥳
