008 on the Bandcamp campaign welcomes South Wales’ own Seth Booth with a four-track EP that moves across distinct shades of club functionality and mood. Across the record, there’s a gradual shift from focused, functional pressure into more diffuse, late-night territory, with each cut designed to operate within different phases of a set rather than a single fixed moment.
A1. Movin It
A direct, peak-time cut built for immediate floor pressure. Forward-leaning drums and no-frills momentum set the tone early, engineered for systems at full tilt.
A2. Diosa Del Sol
A warmer, more expansive turn. Subtle Balearic influence runs through it, drawing on sunset-drenched reference points in early house without leaning into pastiche.
B1. Pathfinder
Mid-set energy with a more exploratory edge. Rolling synth movement and open rhythmic space designed for transitions, less about impact, more about direction.
B2. Polychrome
A forward-facing statement within the record, defined by harder synth textures and cut-up rhythmic structure that push toward a more contemporary club palette, stepping away from the vintage reference points of earlier work.
