🚨🎶 CAST ANNOUNCEMENT 🎶🚨

Curtain Up Show Choir is a part of Curtain Up Theatre Company, a Community Interest Company based in Cardiff.

After initially starting as a Summer workshop for children, the choir was the first part of the company to be formed, and they have been running ever since.

The Choir have sung at Heaven On Their Minds, Heaven On Their Minds At Christmas and Musicals Through The Ages, as well as singing at the turning on of the Christmas lights in Llandaff and at the Llandaff Carnival.

They also host their own cabarets through the year called ‘Curtain Up Cabaret’ and are a huge part of the festive celebration ‘A Curtain Up Christmas’.

Curtain Up are the resident Show Choir for Benjo Productions.

🚨🎶 CAST ANNOUNCEMENT 🎶🚨

Introducing… Harmony Sunshine!

Harmony trained at the Guildford School of Acting before going on to study Drama and Music at Bath University.

Credits whilst training include: Zebra in ‘Just So’ and ‘Lucky Stiff’, based on the 1983 novel ‘The Man Who Broke the Bank at Monte Carlo’ by Michael Butterworth.

As a professional vocalist, Harmony has sung all over the country, including most recently at the Cardiff Volunteer Awards. For 12 years, she was a soloist at ‘Magical Music’ with the 70 piece David Hughes Orchestra in the Grand Pavillion, St David’s Hall and Brangwyn Hall. She is also regular guest soloist for The Broadway Chorus.

When not performing, Harmony is a singing teacher, vocal coach and Musical Director.

Harmony is the Musical Director of the Curtain Up Show Choir performing this evening.

🚨🎶 CAST ANNOUNCEMENT 🎶🚨

Introducing… Nathan Coles!

Nathan has been performing since the age of 13. His love for singing began when he joined Only Boys Aloud at its inception in 2010. This gave him unforgettable opportunities that fuelled his passion for performing, including placing third on Britain’s Got Talent, performing at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace, and opening the Ryder Cup in Newport.

Since then, Nathan has gone on to study Theatre and Drama at the University of South Wales. After before performing in a number of semi-professional productions. In recent years, he’s become a father and joined the world of teaching. He now works as a driving instructor by day and a choir leader for Tenovus Cancer Care by night.

🚨🎶 CAST ANNOUNCEMENT 🎶🚨

Welcoming back Harriet Taylor!

Harriet has been with Benjo since the very start and has appeared in every live event that we have ever done.

Since graduating from Aberystwyth University in 2013 with a 1st Class Hons in Drama and Theatre Studies, Harriet has constantly been performing on stage, from musicals to pantomimes. Her favourite and most memorable job to date was being a judge on the 2019 singing series BBC1’s "All Together Now" hosted by Rob Beckett and Geri Horner (Formerly Halliwell).

This is Harriet’s first concert since becoming a mum and we are so happy to have her back!

Her powerful belt and angelic lyrical soprano notes make Harriet a Benjo crowd favourite and an essential part of the line-up.

🚨🎶 CAST ANNOUNCEMENT 🎶🚨

Over the next few days, we’ll be introducing you to the line-up for our upcoming concert ‘A Night At The Movies’ 🎥

First up.. it’s the boss!

Ben is a graduate of the Glasgow Academy of Musical Theatre Arts and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, where he was the recipient of the Swinburn Scholarship for his Masters in Musical Theatre.

Credits whilst training include : Bobby in ‘Company’ and Clopin Trouillefou in the UK Premiere of ‘Disney’s Hunchback of Notre Dame’. He also played Melchior in ‘Spring Awakening’, Roger’, Daddy Brubeck in ‘Sweet Charity’ and Jesus in
‘Godspell’.

Since graduating he has worked with incredible companies such as the Welsh National Opera, Going Public Theatre Company, Rainbow Valley Productions for whom he appeared as Buttons in Cinderella with Owen Money OBE and It’s An Act where he played Prince Charming in Cinderella and Sinderella - The Adult Panto in Pontardawe Arts Centre.

When he is not performing, Ben is an Acting teacher. As well as teaching in the UK, Ben has taught in Switzerland, America, and even India.
He is the founder of Benjo Productions.
